Richard has been working in accounting, finance, information technology, human resources, operations, and process improvement for over 25 years.  His passion is helping others, improving quality, and driving results that lead to business growth. 

 

Before starting Avanzar, he was a Chief Financial and Chief Administration Officer overseeing the finance, accounting, technology, and human resources for a $46 million company.  In addition, he was a senior business consultant for an international consulting firm, providing expertise in transforming businesses from struggling financially to profitability and growth.  Prior to that, he held VP and Director positions for small and medium-sized companies as well as consulted for large national and international organizations with accounting, finance, and operational issues.

 

Richard is a Certified Public Accountant, Accredited Small Business Consultant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Chartered Global Management Accountant, and a Master Certificate in Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt.

He uses consulting techniques; such as, strength, weakness, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis, Critical Path Methodology, Cost Reduction and Labor Recapture analysis, 13-week Cash Flow forecasting, Theory of Constraint process improvement, rapport building with owners and their key employees, leadership training, and Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analysis and forecasting.
